Flirty and Thriving

Posted by on October 19, 2009

I’ve long been excited about turning 30. My twenties were spent figuring out who I am and what I want to be doing; my thirties are going to be spent creating the life I want. This is the decade where I will marry my fella, finally finish a novel and maybe do a little hang-gliding if I can work up the nerve. As you can see, I’ve got an exciting 10 years ahead of me.

I celebrated my new adulthood in fitting manner: by getting super-super-drunk with a handful of friends and riding around in the world’s tackiest car, a stretch Hummer. I was going to go with a much classier stretch limo, but Kim and Katy insisted we go for the Hummer. They said it’s better for the environment, and much nicer to look at, and who am I to argue with such smart cookies?

Anyway, this was a wonderful weekend, and now I have my whole first year of being a grown-up ahead of me. Thanks, y’all, for a kickass birthday.

Photos of my nascent adulthood are here.

Thanks for the scrillion cute photos. A good time was had by all, I’d say. Except maybe Jennifer Garner. Until at the end when she got married and was OK. Right, because career, whatever. Shoes, shrug. It is ALL about finding the right man. Where was I? Oh yes good job on the party, happy birthday, love you.
