Back to work, back to grants, back to boss, back to boredom: you can't live in the Wood

The Lad came back as planned on Sunday, so now I can shut up about that problem. He is very beardy and I have decided to like it because what are my options, really. And he was so nice about it that time I shaved my head so I feel I owe him a weird hair experiment of his very own.

My professor boss asked me this morning when I am getting married. Up until now I wasn't sure he was aware I had a personal life, or a last name, so this was mildly alarming, but I rallied pretty quickly and said as soon as he cuts himself free of this Jane character I'm ready to go.

NOTE: I have no plans for marriage at this time. In case that was unclear.

note: even though i have mentioned kristen and gene getting married in 2 seperate posts in the last two days, i have no plans for their marriage either. in case that was also unclear.

(kristen, i'm thinking the bridesmaids should wear red. it's a lucky color, don't you think? you could have either red roses or red tulips in your bouquet and we could have white ones. maybe this is too color-coordinated. we should discuss at the next meeting. i'll put it on the agenda.)

[extremely worried look]

oh come on people. is it so hard to see what's right in front of your noses? he's GAY. GAY GAY GAY. and you know we do not let them marry in these parts.

I wanted red flowers in my wedding bouquet, but the gay florist said that red was 'too bold' for a wedding bouquet.

Sigh, if only I had been bolder.

you too could wear red though while attending kristen's wedding to her gay boyfriend (heck, if she can't reform him, who can?).

who was your gay florist, was it gene?

Posted by: didofoot at June 11, 2004 03:28 PM

and what color flowers did he make you end up carrying? did a gay man named gene catch the bouquet toss?

Posted by: michele at June 11, 2004 03:33 PM

Gene was involved with some tossing, but I don't think it had anything to do with a bouquet.

I think I've missed something in my absence: Is someone else now living in the Wood, or is the Wood living in someone else?

Because yes, it can get increasingly tasteless.

ohhhhh....i just got sean's 'tossing' thing.

Posted by: didofoot at June 14, 2004 11:27 AM

Yeah. It was brilliant. I should have nodded to that days ago.

everytime someone mentions 'tossing' i flash back to a picture farasati once drew of a face with open mouth displaying bits of lettuce in it, underneath which was written, 'tossed salad'.

possibly there was a cherry tomato too.

at the time i had no idea what the hell he was implying.
