Our friend comes over. "Who's reading Zen Sex?" he asks.*
"I'll give you three guesses," I say.
"Gene?" he guesses.
"No."
"Gene?"
I laugh. "No."
"Gene?"
"...Yes."
We both laugh. We both pause. "Really?" he says.
