We get knocked down, but we get up again

I caught my sandal on one of the criminally protruding MUNI rails while crossing Market Street yesterday and went sprawling in the middle of the intersection. Caught myself on my hands in a monster push-up and managed not to rip my jeans, so I thought I was doing pretty well. Picked myself up and got halfway up the hill before I realized that my belt, which is more cool than functional, had come undone in the fall. Ever tried to casually fasten your belt while walking? There is just nothing more suspicious looking than that, especially in SF, where the preponderance of crazies means that someone walking along fumbling at their pants is definitely a cross-the-street moment. Once I got home, I was talking to Michele on the phone and told her this sad story, because sometimes you need a little best friend sympathy. "You fall a lot," she said thoughtfully, and snickered.

If anyone wants to offer me some more solid form of comfort, Elliott Smith's new album will be out on Oct 19, two days after my birthday. I'm just sayin'.

I have it on mp3. Let me know if you want a copy. It's not stealing since he's dead.

i think i want the actual album with the liner notes and all. all my other albums of his are copies and sometimes i wonder if my blatant thievery might have led directly to his death. the mpaa is looking into it and might use me in a commercial.

i don't mean the mpaa, do i? who do i mean?

RIAA. Do you want the mp3s until the real album is out in stores, maybe?

Also, smoking weed gets you pregnant, buying cocaine funds commmunism, and smoking cigarettes leads to really obnoxious kids with bullhorns doing stunts with mannequins dressed like corpses in urban areas.

no, i can wait, but thank you. stealing music blinds orphans.

Good for you on falling with gusto.
It's really the only way.

I myself had to re-do my belt on the move, this Sunday.
Running frantically, in heels, through downtown San Jose.
I was quite suspect looking, I am sure.

i don't really see how the idea of either of you girls undoing your belts would be any reason for people to cross the street. i'm just sayin'.

god, did i just actually post that? i apologize.

Jeez, Erica, you're such a pig.

Oooh, I tripped because of my SANDAL....?!?!?

You should seriously look into go fucking yourself and (wearing some shoes suited to cross Market).

Just sayin'

The grammar in that last post is making me twitch. "And" should not be the last non-parenthetical word in a sentence! In that context it should very specifically be inside the parentheses! Telling someone they should look into [non-gerund verb] [gerund verb] doesn't make sense! An apostrophe is not a punctuation mark which can be used to end a sentence! Aaaaaaah!

I will start looking into go fucking myself now, to spare the previous poster the effort of telling me to do so. I wonder if it's listed in the Yellow Pages?

So this guy Me arrives at Kris's blog from google searching for "monkey knife fight sidewalk", comments on this entry, goes off and looks at the photos of my sisters wedding, and leaves.
The world is a curious place.
