What do we want? A lot of water and possibly some food and a nice empty room. When do we want it? Now!

I went to the protest on Sunday all hungover and hating crowds. Despite a niggling concern over whether these protests are ever going to do any good, I still feel that we've entered an interesting time. People are saying the same thing all over the world. That's a new phenomenon, at least for my lifetime. It's nice to know I'm not alone.

Somewhere between 150,000 - 250,000 depending on who's talking.

everyone should read indymedia every day.

at the risk of self-marginalization, i have to agree. once a week should be enough to keep you up-to-speed without choking on all the indycomments, which are the yummiest part, if you like a good fight.

i went to a party at the indymedia office, and everyone kept asking me, "do you work here?" and i'd say "no," and they'd say "me neither. here, have a drink!"

and while i'm off-topic, i just read ian's blawg for maybe the second time, and i wished very much to comment on his very thorough, one might say meticulous, slaughtering of the "representative democracy" facade. but i couldn't find a damn comments page.
so, like a flier on the wrong department bulletin board, that dangerous, that unexpected, i hereby give propers. can i get a whoo, whoo?
