Windows XP Sucks Eggs

Editor's Note, written on August 28, 2008: Please note that I wrote these two paragraphs over six years ago, and the entry was simply intended to try and collect from my friends the documents which had been lost on my computer. I am not an expert on Windows XP, and you probably shouldn't use this entry to support your argument that Windows XP sucks eggs. Although I am flattered that you're willing to take my word for it. Thanks for reading and/or linking to me, and have a great day.

Hemingway's wife once left two years worth of his manuscripts on a train. Gone forever. I have lost only one year of work, and it was pretty piecemeal at that. However, if any of you have anything I've sent you or shown you over the past year--the Ben and Elliott stuff, or the story about my brother, anything like that?--I would be so grateful to have it again.

I walked through my first twenty two years in a happy daze like a hippie Pollyanna chirping constantly to herself about her own good luck. Possibly that's catching up to me now, as I keep losing things.

YES IT IS TRUE, CONFIRMED AND CERTIFIED. XP SUCKS or for that matter every version has sucked. IF YOU DON'T THINK SO THEN YOU MUST HAVE JUST BOUGHT YOUR FIRST COMPUTER. WORK GROUPS 3.1 RAN BETTER. I totally agree. XP really sucks. I have had to clean install it every month of since I got it. I won't recognize my video card (Nvidia 5), it won't let me load any other OS. i have tried so hard to live w/o windows but everything (all the programs I own) are for windows (95-me). I have tried and love linux, but I can't find the programs for Linux I need. I have even programmed a few for linux but it took me over 2 eyars to make 1 program. I need 48, I don't have that much time. XP is a virus, Microsoft (as of 1981) is a virus.

i harbour a seep total burning hatred for XP too the lowest darkest essence of my being, ME might of been a little spiteful biatch but at least it was willing to run my programs on it.
now xp....OHOHOHO xp, now this has to be the best work from ol' bill yet, how well it angers me, how well it ruins my internet activities, hoe well it has destroyed my will to use my computer.
media player no longer runss, yahoo messenger is buggered up, internet explorer is throwing tantrums, im now into that stage between thinking about taking a sledge hammer to the computer and other things just to get back at it, and actually doing it, but i cant blame my hardware, its xp, xp! XP!!!!!!! o_o;.....so yea, ME sucked, XP inhales the whole thing O_o, ide love for XP to be a tangible oblect right now, possibly a person, and i could like, just punch it, and punch it and punch it and make myself feel better for the time ive lost to it ^_^;;;.

If we the end-users would just NOT buy anymore of this hideous software or buy from the computer makers that force it upon us ,we could put a stop to this. We dont buy , changes will HAVE to be made. That simple..I REALLY wish people would start to read the "end user" agreements and see whats going on, it's crazy to agree to these things.Learn to SAY NO not complain on message boards.

Say NO to product activation/hidden processes by NOT buying it ! Seems most people (not aware) like XP and along with this they send the signal that software activation/hidden processes are ok , it's NOT.

Want to surf the world without any trace of tracking or privacy issues ?? Buy a shortwave radio :-)

One last thing , where are the smart people in this world ???? cant anybody come up with an easy to use for the masses ,straight forward operating system ?????

Yeah, they're called Mac's. I build PC's (hell even built my ASUS 3.0 gig processor with sound blaster audigy 2 zs, nvidia card, dvd+rw burner, 2 gig ram, LOADED) and have had to install XP so many times I've lost count. I had to buy a Mac Powerbook G4 the other day for grad work, and I have had not ONE single problem. I've used macs off and on, but for some reason used my PC at home. My Mac networked in two seconds on my netgear wireless router, it's got built in bluetooth, a wireless card (airport). I already bought the Apple 23" HD Cinema display that came out a few months ago and hooked it up to my PC, as well as having two ipods and an isight. You know what, they never gave me any problems. Now, they plug right into my Mac and I even use my palm T5 and wireless logitech dinovo keyboard and mouse on the mac. Windows SUCKS. I hope the masses get a clue and realize "apple is just better."

XP/Microshit blows. I've never seen a more unstable OS, I mean this piece of shit crashes on nearly everything. I've talked to Microshit and everytime they're answers are CONFLICTING DRIVERS. These freezes happen on nearly three totally different system configurations, its not fucking conflicting drivers. Fuck Microshit.

I'm 14 years old and since when i was 10 i was laughing at microsoft. Copies everything that apple does. If I saw bill gates, I'll go up to him and just kick him right there. I cant take my computer anymore friggen XP. I reformatted 3 times in one night. WTF is that. now i get a shutdown in 60 seconds error...on a mac...not gonna happen. I dream of getting a mac because i do video editing and im tired of XP crashing in the middle of my movie =(...bye people

ya xp is the worist, the networking wizard never worked. And screwed up my cable modem. I now just do it the easier way like in 98/95 make all the workgroup same. different computer names.

i'll go with 98se any day.............
